Eat Local, Eat Healthy, Eat Safe - Food that is produced locally is generally fresher, more nutritious and better tasting than food produced and shipped in from across the country.  As well as providing a wider variety of foods for a healthy diet, locally grown food avoids disease or chemical contamination that occurs in some mass-produced foods.  A nutritious, well-balanced diet promotes well-being, fitness, and weight loss.
